Criteria:

•Must be a resident of New Jersey

•Must be a minority male or female student

•Must major or minor in the Performing Arts

•Must demonstrate financial need

•Should have served in a leadership capacity in school and/or within the community

•Should be a high school senior with plans to attend a two-year or four-year college or university

•Must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.50 grade point average

•An official transcript must be submitted with the application


Essay Requirement:

The essay must be typed and double-spaced.


Letters of Recommendation:

Two letters of recommendation must be submitted from members of the academic community or community/civic leaders. The letter of recommendation should be a brief statement describing the student’s character and motivation towards success.


Photograph:

Please supply a recent wallet size photograph with your application.


Deadline:

The application, transcript, essay, and letters of recommendation must be postmarked by April 15, 2017. Please ensure you have enclosed the following items: Scholarship application, official high school transcript with GPA and class rank, wallet size photograph, essay and two letters of recommendation.
